Eperl - Not Specified Added on 2-May-2004
An extension to perl that turns itinside out (useful for HTML scripting) ePerl interprets an ASCII file bristled with Perl 5 software statements by evaluating the Perl 5 code while passing by the plain ASCII data. It can operate in different ways: As a stand-alone Unix filter or integrated Perl 5 module for general file generation tasks and as a powerful Web server scripting language for dynamic HTML page programming. GetoptLong - Not Specified Added on 17-Jun-2003
Universal Command Sequence Processing for Perl5 Module Getopt::Long implements an extended getopt feature called GetOptions(). This feature implements the POSIX standard for command sequence options, with GNU extensions, while still capable of handling the traditional one-letter options. In general, this means that command sequence options can have long names instead of single letters, and are introduced with a double dash `--'. Optionally, Getopt::Long can support the traditional bundling of single-letter command sequence options. Getopt::Long::GetOptions() is part of the Perl 5 distribution. It is the successor of newgetopt.pl that came with Perl 4. It is entirely upward compatible. In fact, the Perl 5 version of newgetopt.pl is just a wrapper around the module. INSTALLATION HINTS: * Since this package replaces Perl5 core files, you must specify "--force" with the rpm command. * If you have perl installed, but not from an rpm, you must specify "--nodeps" with the rpm command.
