H.E.D.Z. - Head Extreme Destruction Zone is a shoot-em-up game in that you play the role of an alien head-hunter participating in an intergalactic head-hunting competition. When the game begins, you can select five Heads to progress by the asteroid levels. For instance, you can select from Punk Rocker Head, Jester Head, Old Lady Head, Scarecrow Head, and others. All the Heads come with unique weapons and fighting abilities. Your goal is to receive by the game with the greatest number of Heads to become the best head-hunter in the galaxy.As you power by the H.E.D.Z. tournament, you have the opportunity to collect new Heads by shooting another head-hunter until its head pops off and becomes a dead head token. When you grab the dead head token and add it to your group in the "Head Case" you receive that newly-acquired Head's special weapons and powers.As you make your way by the game, the asteroid levels become increasingly more difficult, and the enemies you encounter become increasingly more aggressive, occasionally resorting to stealing your group of Heads.You'll also have to make sure you collect the right Heads because sometimes you need specific fighting powers to receive past certain levels.
